National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning
Though football is Dwayne’s favorite sport, he played almost every sport growing up in southern California and transitioning to Erie, CO later in high school. In high school, Dwayne was Student Body Vice President, captain of a state championship football team and elite 8 basketball squad, and state finalist in the 110 M High Hurdles. He played football (Safety, Line Backer, and Tight End) for Fort Lewis College. Then transferred to Colorado State University (CSU) where he went from student Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. In three years at CSU, Dwayne contributed to taking Colorado State’s football team from 3-8 in ’12 to 10-3 in ’14. Following the completion of his Graduate Assistantship, he returned to Fort Lewis to coordinate strength and conditioning for football, volleyball, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and softball while teaching 5 credits of P.E. and strength coaching 101.
After almost six years of collegiate strength coaching, Dwayne (also known as ‘Coach P’) decided to refine his craft through personal training with the same general concept, “Get you stronger, faster, AND more flexible at the same time!” Coach P’s simple but strict technique principles will point out imbalances and bring a higher level of focus to training. He is highly knowledgeable in Olympic lifting and accustomed to modifying training to injuries. Coach P has worked with athletes from the 3rd grade to professional level.
